Atlast a brilliant Movie

As the year comes to an end there is atleast one movie from bollywood which stood out..
In a era where stupid senseless supposed to be comedies become big hits and bad re makes of hollywood movies make money and family drama win awards, there still was place for brilliance and talent to take center stage..yes i am talking about a genius Aamir Khan and his excellent movie "Tare Zameen Par"..

Come on people how can you watch some stupid baboon trying to imitate some brilliant actors and take sequences from numerous hit movies and make a senseless comedy..I am talking about an idiot named Sharukh and movie OSO...

And there is the KKKKKK movies from Karan Johar...Yes they become hits and win awards but how and why is the biggest mystery i haven't yet solved..This guy in movies and Ekta in her serials take the story lines altogether to a different level..Just crap is what i can call those movies and serilas as..

And there is one more set of KK movies from Rakesh Roshan..except for the brilliant acting of Hrithik there is nothing else to watch out for in them and yet he keeps coming...

And yes a big disappointment after movies like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Black is Mr Sanjay Leela Bansali..What a pain it was to watch Saawariya..man just watch Raincoat and you will know what a shame Saawariya is to the category of Art movies...

And there comes the brilliance of Aamir Khan..TZP has one of the most touching storylines and it is based on a day to day life..There is lot to learn from the movie to all classes of the society and people belonging to all age brackets..

i have always admired this guy and he hasn't disappointed me..Thanks to actors and people like him i still have a hope that bollywood movies can make sense and be brilliant..

Hats off Aamir for TZP..

The Year That Has Gone By

The year of 2007 like all other years of my life was a mixture of good things bad things and yes a memorable one..

In the month of january i finished my 7th sem exams and had been to Tirupathi, then was the time i got a call from my friend saying that we had to begin our internship on jan 10th,i joined on jan 11th to Epsilon,a new phase of life and the deciding phase..I was excited, then the month was full of training that was stressful being from 9 in the morning to 8 in the evening. We were taught a lot of new things which included Perl,HTML,Javascript,CSS,Databases and lot more technologies, every teacher was an inspiration.

In the month of february my final semester of college started, had to learn to balance both training at office and college..didn't find it tough but missed the fun and frolic we used to have in the evenings while in college..Then our project guide had decided the project requirements and we were supposed to finish it in an unrealistic time of 15 days..Then started those meetings to discuss about the ownership of different modules, huh i don't like mishap but couldn't help..Then we prepared almost 11 versions of SRS(system requirements specification)..that is when most of the people lost interest in the project and got into their actual work. This was the month i got close to some of my colleagues..Notable among them being Shetty,Neelima and Sabiha..
Shetty a courageous guy with a tremendous attitude towards life and a guy with a big heart..
Neelima one of my sisters,we share the same sur name..an intelligent girl with lots of dreams and ability to achieve them.
Sabiha, cute sister with a kiddish nature..

In the month of march, we got close to our team lead Santhosh, one of the best human beings i have come across in my life,a perfect team lead,a person with a commendable intellect and a nice guide..To create visibilty for ourselves he made us do some projects, thanks to which we learnt a lot
in embperl,HTML,Javascript etc. Then we had a big treat from Sri and Abhi.

The month of April is one of my favorites being my birthday month, the month started with me taking off from office for the first time to study for internals..The highlight of the month was the function of Kaashi Samaaraadhane and my birthday which was the biggest function in our home since my birth..It was a grand success..My birthday celebration by my friends this time was too brilliant and memorable, pleasant shock was when Suhas and Sri came home at 12 with the cake..next day my friends had planned a "Treasure Hunt" involving the places i love the most, school, kes, ram mandir ground, kle, sankey tank..but thnks to my investigative mind i could catch the surprise before hand..I got one of the best gifts from my sister Sahana, she had written about me and decorated it herself...Love that a lot..Had celebration at office as well..Sad part was i lost some of the gifts i had got from my friends in the function hall..Then the deadline for our project at college was 10th May so we started working on it on last sunday of april..we were in office on both saturday and sunday completely..

The month of may began with working in office on our first May day as an employee, that was due to our project deadline..We completed our project and it came out well..then took off from office and studied for our final exams..

The month of june is when our exams got over and the month when the friends with whom i had spent my 4 years of engineering were parting from me with a hope that we will be in touch..But we can never re live those moments nor can we spend so much quality time with them...Then went to a trip with some of my closest friends, places included Belur,Halebidu,Kalasa,Hornaadu,Kudremukh,Kollur,Sringeri,Kumta,Murdeshwar,Gokarna,Jog Falls..Loved all those places..But this trip was kind of a turning point in my life..lots of misunderstanding happened with some unmeasurable friends..One person who has been with me in all the good and bad times in my life and who understands me better than myself..One more person who actually filled a void in my life and who loved me a lot..Donno if ever our relationships can get back to shape..Miss them a lot but no regrets..Part and parcel of life..

In the month of July came a batch of guys from Nitk to join our company..a new set of people..got close to some of them pretty quickly..Thanks to them my skills in TT is respectable..then i had one of the most happiest days in my life when i went out with a friend full day from morning to evening bunking office..

The month of August was one of the crucial months in my life,i was very low on confidence cos i hadn't had much work to prove my worth to myself and on top of it hadn't fared too well in evaluation tests..was so low on confidence that i had almost taken a decision to quit my job, that is when santhosh spoke to me,motivated me and made me change my decision. Thanks a million to him and some of my friends i am happily working and learning a lot in this job.

Nothing noticeable happened in september.

The month of october is when i got noticeable work..found it tough in the beginning but got into the groove pretty quickly and in no time i was oozing with confidence and happiness for getting work.

November was pretty much normal at work..went out on a lot of one day trips..to Maddur coffee day..cubbon park etc..enjoyed most of the weekends..

December..had planned to take off for 5 days and relax by going out with friends but unfortunately didn't work out,but went out with parents after a long time..felt good.. eagerly waiting for the new year to come..Hopefully will have a lot of fun which i missed last 3 years thanks to our engg exams..

Indian Tradition..

Hmmm..the title is too broad but i would like to touch upon very few things which i have observed in our daily life....

*No matter how much people spend on the interior decoration of their houses still a photo of God finds place in the drawing rooms and bed rooms.

*We call our elders as uncle or aunty but never will we address them by their names or surnames even if we don't know them.

*We still treat every non_living commodity as God and pray them.

*Still the first choice of holidaying for most of the people will be a holy place.

Laid back holidaying at Mysore...

Taking leave from office from 21 dec to 25 dec was thinking of having one of my best holidays but one after the other my plans started flopping but i wasn't giving up,finally my plan of going to Mysore with parents clicked..I was excited..i was going there after 7 years..A place where i spent most of my summer vacations when in school..All those memories ran through my mind as the wind was blowing across my face when the bus was speeding away to glory on one of the finest highways..I was getting nostalgic wondering if i could relive those moments..There the bus stopped,we picked up an auto and was pleased to hear Kannada language in its purest form,it was music to my ears..After reaching my aunt's place,i was welcomed by awe, shock, excitement filled with happiness that they couldn't express..then the day passed by with me enjoying with my brother's kids, then next day my dad came and we went to Karanji Lake,it was a nice place to relax, boating was fun, birds were nice..Then at night we went to a temple then to a garden restaurant,i was surprised to see the prices,it is considered one of the biggest hotels and the ambience and food were great but prices were very reasonable when compared to Bangalore..Next day we woke up at 5 and went to Nimishamba Temple which is about 14 kms from Mysore,it just took us 1:15 hrs to go there and come back, then we went for a stroll in what is supposed to be the busiest roads in Mysore,we visited shops of our relatives and then headed back to Bangalore.
Mysore is such a wonderful place, less traffic, pure air cos os less pollution, many more good things,it isn't worth reading..Fools!!!go and experience..
Heritage of Mysore is a crown to Karnataka and India..

Movies i am crazy about...

Yeah i have watched lots and lots of movies some good ones some bad ones some boring ones but in this blog i would like to mention some of the most brilliantly made movies. These are my personal favorites..

First let me talk about Dil Chahta Hai..wow movie that was a revolution in Indian Cinema..i don't think ever will come such a refreshing movie..It was simplicity and reality jelled together..The movie is about different phases of friendship, how they grow up together, get separated and how they come back together. The 3 main characters are simple awesome, one a normal guy who knows when to have fun and when to take up responsibility, the other a sober kind of guy who is always introspecting and engrossed in himself and the other a purely adolescent character who is too humorous... The humor in the first phase when they are together is just unbeatable..that is what i called sensible comedy..then the phase when they get separated is serious and introspective..then the phase when they get together is very emotional and touching..
man its difficult to express feelings in words..Final verdict a brilliant debut bu Farhan Akhtar..

Second i would talk about Yuva,a gift from one of the most talented film makers of all times..Mr.Mani Rathnam..

This movie has 4 stories,3 stories about 3 contrasting characters and the 4th story the climax when 3 characters clash..

First story is about a guy who is astonishingly selfish, this guy can do anything to get what he wants..The story deals with how he will be exploited by a minister and his own brother..

Second story is about a college going guy whose vision is "Better India"..a rebel by nature and a person with "An eye for an eye" kind of attitude..His entry into politiics and his fight against the minister..the motivation and inspiration he inculcates among students and the society..I admire this character..

Third story is about a casual and a cool college going guy who balances very well between enjoyment and responsibility..a no-tension attitude..loves to have fun and enjoys life to the fullest..i love this character the most and probably the only character on screen that has some resemblance of my character..I love the chemistry between this guy and his friend..the relationship they share is just too adorable..

Fourth story just links the 3 characters and explains the purpose of each character..the best part of the movie is you can't be judgmental about any character..

Next let me talk about "Mr and Mrs Iyer"..it is romance at its best..The movie is about 2 strangers meeting in a bus and surviving the riots of kashmir and safely reaching chennai..The guy is a muslim who is a photographer by profession and the lady is from a reserved tamil family who is traveling to chennai to her in-law's place from kashmir and co-incidently gets introduced to the guy by her parents at the bus station and how he helps her in the bus for looking after her baby and then how she protects him from the hindu mob which is on a rampage to kill muslims by falsely calling him as Mr.Iyer..and how they live in a guest house in a forest and then reach chennai..The love story is too finely made..Its a high quality film..

Then there is Rang De Basanti..Totally fun filled..I like the way the director draws parallel between happenings before independence and the corruption happening now,The first half is totally fun filled and refreshing but some of the arguments they have are so sensible that they can make you introspect for days. All in all a good movie.Brilliant music..

Sorry guys too bored to write more..

The blogger in me....

I am just surprised to see that i have been blogging so much in the last 2 months, this surprises me cos knowing my laziness this is something great..I guess i have kind of got addicted to it now but i donno when i will get bored of it....

Neither too fast nor too slow but accidents can happen anytime..

I don't like people being judgmental about others,i am talking about it because i know people will be judgmental about me after reading this post but i give a damn about it..

I am talking here about 3 incidents that happened in my life.

First one happened in school,i admired a girl on the day i entered 5th standard and then later i fell in love when i was in 10th standard but i could have kept my mouth shut, but me being a very frank and open guy told it everyone and was very extravagant in whatever i did in that matter and some of my friends went and told it her(donno if they were helping me or having fun at my expense but i don't like either) and that actually turned the world upside down to me..no she didn't reject me but neither did she accept me..i still donno what she feels for me..may be she considers me mad...ya thats the madness which stops me from logically thinking in this matter..i think this was too fast, probably waiting for a couple of years winning her friendship would have made a difference in my life..So being fast wasn't good for me..

Second one happened when i was in 3rd semester, yes and its true that i WAS a very reserved guy when it came to the matter of girls and that is one i got introduced to one of the girls who was my sister's(junior at school) friend,,apparently my sister was a big fan of me and she told a lot of things about me to this girl including the first incident i have mentioned above and the girl for some strange reason said to my sister that she fell in love with me and eventually we got introduced to each other and on the very first day told her not ot have any feelings for me as i wasn't interested in those matters and we became closest of friends and with time i got attached to her and thats when i realized that i also have feelings for her but that was the time our friendship was on the decline(i still donno the reason behind that) so i thought i was too late..Probably being a bit quick would have made a difference in my life but that wasn't the case...So being slow didn't do me any good...

Third incident that happened was just incredible,my friend started messaging anonymously to his sister from my cell to take revenge for the prank she played on him..Later i took leave of him and that girl was messaging me and i started to continue the prank but at one moment i felt pity for the girl and gave it up and then she used to send me forwards for some days and then i used to wish her for exams and slowly chatting on personal front started and she liked me and wanted to listen to my voice and in our first call she found me a very reserved guy and the next call lasted for about 5 hours and such calls became frequent for about a week and on the tenth she proposed me and i thought for a while and agreed and i thought this was the right time but even this didn't last:-)..

I have concern for all these girls even now but i have moved far ahead..
These are some of the memorable moments of my life..

Crazy Spending..

Yes i am known for spending money crazily...
Here are few examples:
First it were toys,i was a big fan of cars, bikes and guns and those small toys having scented rubber inside them.
Had around 47 hot wheel cars,i love hot wheels so much that i recently bought 3 of them at Shopper's Stop.Had numerous guns like water guns, ball guns,Leo's military gun was my favorite.During Diwali i used to buy a minimum of 4 guns every year.
I had around 55 small dolls which included He-Man's,Spider man,Robot,Monkey,Elephant and others,i had around 12 different models of He-Mans,i loved them with swords.
I had a craze for bouncing balls and i still have some at my home,i must have bought around 60 of them, once i bought 30 together.
To play cricket sometimes i used to buy not 1 or 2 but a box of tennis balls.

Second it was books i started spending on,this was when i was in 4th and the craziness continued till about 8th standard and yes by 3 years i had accumulated around 1500 books which included monthly magazines like "Gokulam","Champak","Children's Digest","Tinkle',"Chandamama","Wisdom" etc and i was so addicted to reading that i used to go to avenue road and buy old copies of these magazines because i would have finished reading the recent ones by 10th and my collection included a whole lot of general knowledge book my favorite being Children's knowledge bank, also there were novels from illustrated classics my favorite being"20000 leagues under the sea".There were some books of "Agatha Christie","Nancy Drew",Hardy Boys" and some others which i used to get from school library to read and also small binded books on personalities, loved those books cos of looks:-).My dad says i must have spent around 8,000 on those books.

Next it was cassettes, man i have spent lots on these may be 15k or more, buying a cassette every alternate day had become my hobby, bought almost any music that got released in hindi, kannada.I still have all of them, the count is about 450.

Then it was pens,i bought a pen almost everyday,i used to buy all kinds-ball pens, micro tip, ink, pen pencils too.The brands included Reynolds,Montex,Uni ball,Add,Cello,Luxor,Parker,Faber Castell,Staedtler and many more.I had close to about 800 pens and around 120 pen pencils. The number mentioned is probably less but definitely not more in reality.

Now the latest has been clothes,i buy at least a pair every month.I currently have around 22 denims and may be around 45 t shirts.

Apart from all these i am crazy about deodrants, chocolates, caps, shoes and floaters and the list just goes on...........

Thats crazy me..

Office Trip

Its been a feature from last 3 weeks to blog on sundays..
This week i had been on an office trip with my colleagues to Shivanasamudra(bluff or gaganachukki-barachukki) and Talkad.
The day began by me waking at a very unusual time of 5:40,loved the weather, its so fresh and calm, felt like getting up everyday at that time but am sure my laziness won't give me that chance. Was all ready by 6:20 and the vehicles arrived at 6:40,we left our house by 6:50 and were at office by 7:05,we left office by 8:00 and picked the rest of the people and started at 8:20,we reached Kamat Lokaruchi and had authenticate south-indian breakfast, taste of vadas was too good. After breakfast people started talking and drinking, but this is the time i loved the most,i sat next to a window and music on my phone, wind blowing across my face..oh i just love the feeling then after sometime was sent to the front seat where i started introspecting about myself and thats when i had the feeling of being alone,i love that feeling..yes i love being alone in company..then we reached gaganachukki, its water falls,we just saw that for a while and made our way to bharachukki, its also a water fall but here we could enter water. We had to go down the stairs then we can get into water, once i went in i was in a completely different world,i love water. Then we had a boat ride, the boat is called a "Teppa",its made of bamboo and dried coconut leaves, its in the shape of a saucer.
After this we traveled to Talkad on few the possibly worst roads and on reaching Talkad had an average lunch and got into the calm water and again a boat ride.
The calm water allows you to relax and we enjoyed splashing water on each other and couple of guys exhibited their swimming skills.
Then we made our way back to Bangalore.Had dinner at Kamat and then dropped everyone home and reached my home at 12:40..Was dead tired and had a wonderful sleep..

Road Sense

Damn!!!Driving in Bangalore has become a nightmare..Crap i think monkeys drive on roads with better sense...Having a DL doesn't qualify anyone to be Mika Hakkinens or Rosas...Bloody rogues maintain decorum..Some points i would like to put..
*People driving at low speed, drive on the left of the road, there are drivers who can drive their bikes at a higher speed than u r driving.
*Women drivers..for god sake if u r tensed take an auto than being tensed and creating chaos on roads.
*Honking is irritating..
If u r honking in a traffic signal u r a big time loser..
If the signal is red,the person in front of u isn't a retarded fool to break the signal just because u blow ur stupid sounding horn.
If the signal is green, the person in front of u isn't a dumbass to stop and hatch eggs there..
Many more to come..

Sensational Sunday

Huh!!!After a great weekend had one more sensational sunday(2 dec 2007)..
As usual got up lazily around 10:30;eleven hours of much needed sleep..
Got a call from my friend and understood from her voice that she wanted to go out..She still hadn't got over from the disappointment of hearing "No" from some of her friends the day before..I still had the drowsiness and wanted to sleep more..But my mind was planning the day,it wandered around "Star City" , "Mocha", "Java City", "Forum","Garuda Mall" etc..But finally i decided to take her to "Cubbon Park", we enjoyed the rides, was happy to see the kid in ourselves..had popcorn, ice cream and had a good stroll..Then decided to have lunch at Pizza Hut(even though its called a Hut,its not so gentle on the pocket).so parked my vehicle in Brigade road and enjoyed the lunch and then decided to go to "Amoeba"..It was my first visit and did have a good experience..played like a maniac and we won 270 tickets..Then we landed up in our own Malleshwaram, waiting for a couple of friends,so we decided to wait in "Sankey Tank" as suggested by my friend and indeed loved the walk in the cool breeze and the dusk flavour of the sun...Then dropped her back and felt happy getting a sms from her saying that she had a splendid time...
In brief:
-Cubbon Park->low cost,high enjoyment.
-Amoeba->high cost,medium enjoyment.
-Sankey Tank->no cost,full enjoyment.

Hoping to have many more such sundays...
